Marokkanisches Riad Berlin is a volunteer-led non-profit by Moroccans living in Berlin for Moroccans across Germany. The “riad” in our name evokes an open courtyard — we are a community centre that offers cultural exchange, support services, and solidarity, not a hotel.
Our mission
We want to keep Moroccan traditions alive in Berlin while building bridges to the local community. Our goal is to create a safe, open space where people can meet, share, and support one another.
What we offer
- Communal cooking — Regular cooking evenings with traditional Moroccan dishes, open to everyone
- Cultural events — Readings, music, film nights, and celebrations of Moroccan holidays
- Advice & support — Help for newcomers with official paperwork, language questions, and daily life
- Language courses — Arabic and German for children and adults
- Networking — Collaboration with other associations and initiatives in Berlin

Our team is made up of volunteers from different generations. What unites us is the belief that community makes us stronger. We welcome every helping hand — whether you cook, translate, organise, or simply drop by.
